EU Public Meetings are weekly gatherings where all are welcome to hear the Bible taught by members of the EU senior staff team. These Bible talks are designed to stretch our thinking, challenge our lives, and to show us how the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is good news for us.

Locations for Semester 2, 2024

We will regularly meet at the following locations in Semester 2, but see below for special locations in weeks 4 and 5.

Tuesday 12-1pm: Carslaw Lecture Theatre 373 - followed by lunch at the Law Lawns*

Wednesday 12-1pm: Quad Lecture Theatre S223 - followed by lunch at the Botany Lawns*

Thursday 12-1pm: Chemistry Lecture Theatre 3 - followed by lunch at the Law Lawns*

*In wet weather we will gather for lunch in the International Students Lounge in the Wentworth Building (level 4).

Locations for Weeks 4 and 5 - Meet Jesus

In weeks 4 and 5 we will have special "Meet Jesus" Public Meetings where we will feature:

• Guest speakers and topics geared toward those investigating Christianity

• Different talks each day of the week

• Free lunches after each talk

Locations for these meetings will be as follows:

Tuesday 20 & 27 Aug, 12-1pm: Susan Wakil Lecture Theatre 321

Wednesday 21 & 28 Aug, 12-1pm: Law Annex Lecture Theatre 101

Thursday 22 & 29 Aug, 12-1pm: Chemistry Lecture Theatre 3 (same as regular location)

What to expect

When you come, you can expect:

• A warm hello from EU members

• Some news about the EU community and our activities

• Prayer for ourselves, our campus, and the world

• A reading from the Bible

• A 30-35 minute talk based on part of the Bible

Public Meetings at the Conservatorium

If you are studying at the Conservatorium of Music, the EU runs a Public Meeting once a week on Thursdays at 2pm.

Everyone is invited to start the conversation over lunch from 1 pm to 2 pm before the Public Meeting in the downstairs cafe area.
