If you’re an international student, euFOCUS is a community for you! euFOCUS runs a variety of events where international students can meet local students, make new friends, have fun, practice English and learn more about Jesus and Christianity. You are welcome to join us!
Come Home Dinner
We gather every Thursday evening of the uni semester, from 4-8pm, at St Barnabas' Anglican Church, Broadway. We get to enjoy FOCUS Sessions, Dinner, and Discovery Bible Studies. During the night, we get to hear from the Bible, sing songs to God, and learn about what it’s like to be a Christian in other countries.
FOCUS Sessions (4-5pm)
There are three options led by euFOCUS staff: Exploring Christianity, Christian Living, and Cross-Cultural Ministry. These are for international students who want to know more about Jesus and how to live as a Christian, or for domestic students who want to bring the good news of Jesus across cultures.
Dinner (5:30-6:30pm)
We have dinner together after FOCUS Sessions. Dinner is free if it’s your first time at Come Home Dinner! During dinner, we also have community time where we learn about different cultures and hear about people’s life journeys, as well as what events to look forward to.
Discovery Bible Studies (6:30-8pm)
Are you interested in reading the Bible with other students? Do you want to explore what the Bible says about life, faith, family, relationships and the world?
Discovery Bible Studies (DBS) happen right after dinner. We would love for you to join a DBS where you can grow in your knowledge and love of God. This is a great place to experience the joys of being part of Christian community!
We have groups in several languages, so if you’re interested, get in touch and let us know which language you’d prefer.
