Training Intensives Day 2026
The EU is hosting a day of different training intensive courses to equip students for Christian living and ministry. It’s an exciting opportunity for Christians to invest time together growing in understanding and skills to help us live fruitfully for Jesus now, and well into the future.
These intensives will all be running on campus. Each course runs for the whole day. There is no charge to be a part of one of these intensives. The format of the day will be:
9am-1pm: Morning session
1-1:45pm: Lunch hour to hang out together (byo lunch, or grab lunch nearby to eat with others)
1:45-5pm: Afternoon session
Date: 22 June 2026
Location: BHB (ABS) with lunch together
Ethics
In the ethics course we'll build an evangelical ethics framework. What makes ethics Christian? Where does love fit in to it? What difference does sin make to the way we approach ethical issues. We'll be road testing our framework as we consider different moral issues such as using the OT law in ethics, abortion, animal rights, divorce and remarriage, and land rights in Australia.
Making Life Decisions
The kind of plans we make and what effects and impacts our decision making (eg parents friends, pastors, staff workers)
What God's plan is for all people and all of his created order. This section gets students to evaluate if their plans and decisions are aligned with God's kingdom purposes.
What is our kingdom horizon and how does this impact decisions we make? Ie if our kingdom horizon is only limited to our backyard this will shape decisions we make about our time, money, who we marry etc.

Be more aware of how your cultural background affects your understanding of the gospel and relationships with others.
Be empowered to love people with different cultural backgrounds.
Be empowered to develop intercultural relationships to share the good news of Jesus.
Working in God’s World
This intensive is for all those who are preparing for life in the workforce. It is designed to help students work out what to think (and do) about work as you start out in this new chapter of your life. By providing a biblical perspective on working after university, the course focuses on glorifying God through your work. While the particular emphasis of the course is for graduating students, you may also like to do this course as you start on an internship or if you spend a lot of your time in the workforce.
Registrants will receive an email before the day confirming the location of your course, and providing any material required.
